Gypsy Rose thinks the ‘time is coming really soon’ when she’s no longer famous
Being catapulted into fame for any reason can be a bit draining, and plenty of people consistently in the public eye long for the days of being a relative unknown once again.
While this can be true for famous artists, athletes, or influencers, it’s even more common for people who did not pursue fame whatsoever and had it thrust upon them instead.
One such person is Gypsy Rose Blanchard. Blanchard became famous after an eight-year stint in prison due to being found guilty of second-degree murder in 2016.
Gypsy Rose, alongside then-boyfriend Nicholas Godejohn, orchestrated the murder of her 48-year-old mother Dee Dee Blanchard.
Dee Dee Blanchard had Munchausen Syndrome by Proxy and manipulated her daughter into believing she was terminally ill for several years.
Gypsy Rose claims killing her was ‘the only way out‘.

Since her 2023 release, Gypsy Rose has been heavily in the public eye, and while this certainly has had some positive effects on her life, she knows that the fame will eventually die down at some point in the future.
“I think everything has been very hyped up, and I’ve had wonderful opportunities, but I don’t see those lasting,” Gypsy Rose revealed in an interview with Entertainment Tonight.
“I think there comes a time where I have to make a choice. And that is, when do I say enough is enough?
“I think after so long of having my name in the spotlight, that time is coming really soon.”
When that time does come, the 32-year-old knows exactly what she wants to do as she returns to being a generally unknown person.

“Part of me is like, maybe I should just go work at McDonald’s. I love those French fries!” Gypsy Rose said, shocking many with her humble ambitions.
“I don’t know. But I do like retail, too. Maybe something at the mall, like makeup or Sephora or something. I love makeup.”
Gypsy Rose went on to say that she generally wants to have a simple, 9-5 job and live her life like everyone else, though she would need to get certain things in order beforehand.
“I need to get my driver’s license, as I’ve said before,” Gypsy Rose explained, “So to get to a job I need to know how to drive.”
While some people online criticized these comments for being ungrateful, others empathized with Gypsy Rose and expressed their respect for her wishes.
“She just wants to feel normal and maybe for her that is what normal is,” one commenter on X (formerly Twitter) hypothesised.
Another shared a similar sentiment: “I’m happy she is able to make these decisions for herself living a normal life.”
